1: American Standard.

American Standard Brands is a North American manufacturer of plumbing fixtures based in Piscataway, New Jersey, United States. It is principally owned by Lixil Group, with Bain Capital Partners holding a minority stake. The company was formed as American Standard America from the North American operations of the kitchen and bathroom division of American Standard Companies during the company breakup in 2007.

In addition to its namesake American Standard brand, the company also manufactures products under the Crane, Alger, Fiat, Sanimetal, and Showerite brands.

On February 1, 2007, American Standard Companies announced that it would be spinning off three of its divisions. The plan included the sale of its kitchen and bath division and the spin-off of WABCO Holdings, the vehicle controls division of American Standard, while retaining the Trance company.

Amana Corporation is an American brand of home appliances. It was founded in 1934 by George Forstner as The Electrical Equipment Company in central Amana, Iowa to manufacture commercial walk-in coolers. The business was later owned by the Amana Society and became known as Amana Refrigeration, Inc. It is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation.

In 1997, the company was purchased by heating-and-cooling manufacturer Goodman Global (now part of Daikin North America), which sold it to Maytag (now part of Whirlpool) in 2002.
