1: Albert Einstein.
Albert Einstein (14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential physicists of all time. Einstein is best known for developing the theory of relativity, but he also contributed significantly to the development of the theory of quantum mechanics. Relativity and quantum mechanics are two pillars of modern physics.
In 1905, a year sometimes described as his annuum mirabilis, Einstein published four groundbreaking papers. He outlined the theory of the photoelectric effect, explained Brownian motion, introduced special relativity, and demonstrated mass-energy equivalence. Einstein thought that the laws of classical mechanics could no longer be reconciled with the electromagnetic field, which led him to develop his special theory of relativity.
Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, State of Württemberg, German Empire, on 14 March 1879, into a family of secular Ashkenazi Jews. His parents were Hermann Einstein, a salesman and engineer, and Pauline Koch.
2: Marie Curie.
Marie Salomia (November 1867 – 4 July 1934) was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who did pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, the first person and the only woman to win the Nobel Prize twice.
She was born in Warsaw, then the Kingdom of Poland, which was part of the Russian Empire. He studied at Warsaw’s secret Flying University and began his practical scientific training in Warsaw. In 1891, at the age of 24, she followed her older sister Bronislava to study in Paris, where she earned her higher degrees and conducted her later scientific work. In 1895 she married the French physicist Pierre Curie.
