Matteo Berretini (born 12 April 1996) is an Italian professional tennis player. He is ranked as high as world No. 6 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals, which he achieved in January 2022, and world No. 105 in doubles as of July 2019. Berrettini has won seven ATP Tour singles titles and two in doubles. title, and made his best performance by reaching the singles final of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships.

Matteo Berretini has pulled out of representing Italy in this week’s Davis Cup final.
The No. 16 and 2021 Wimbledon finalist has not played since suffering an injury during the final of the Naples Open more than a month ago.
“Medical experts have advised that I will not be able to compete again at my highest level following the foot injury in Naples,” he said.
