Snowden was granted Russian citizenship by Russian President Vladimir Putin in September this year. Today we will discuss about Edward Snowden: Knjiga| UCC| Ethics.
Edward Snowden: Knjiga| UCC| Ethics
Edward Joseph Snowden (born June 21, 1983) is an American and naturalized Russian former computer intelligence consultant who leaked highly classified information to the National Security Agency (NSA) in 2013, when he was an employee and subcontractor. A subject of controversy, Snowden has been called a traitor, a hero, a whistleblower, a dissident, a coward, and a patriot. American officials condemned his actions as “serious damage” to American intelligence capabilities.
Snowden was hired by Booz Allen Hamilton, an NSA contractor, in 2013 after previous employment with Dell and the CIA. Snowden says that he gradually became disillusioned with the programs he was involved in, and that he tried to raise his ethical concerns through internal channels but was ignored. In early 2016, Snowden became president of the Freedom of the Press Foundation, a San Francisco-based non-profit organization that aims to protect journalists from hacking and government surveillance. He also has a job with an unnamed Russian IT company. In 2017, he married Lindsay Mills. “I have to lay my head on a pillow in Moscow at night,” he told an Israeli audience in November 2018, “but I live on the Internet and in every other city in the world.”
Edward Snowden, the man who risked everything to expose the U.S. government’s massive surveillance system, reveals his life story for the first time, including how he helped build and protect that system. What prompted you to try to bring down.
US fugitive Edward Snowden addressed hundreds of high school students at a world affairs conference Monday night at a private Toronto school.
The former NSA contractor was the keynote speaker at the annual World Affairs conference, organized by students of Upper Canada College and Branksome Hall in Toronto.
Snowden’s case (and many others) must be examined simultaneously through a variety of frames: legal, political, ethical, and organizational. Many controversial issues arise from the technological revolution, in this case information technology, as always.
The vile accusations against Snowden despite the well known and recorded history of him ending up in Russia in 2013 is one of the best litmus tests to date. Bc for some reason people who are otherwise trying to appear reasonable allow their mask totally slip off on this one. https://t.co/FhAVeCIBAu— Egor Kotkin (@EgorKotkin) December 3, 2022
