America’s Top 3 Electric Scooters of All Time

1: America’s Top 3 Electric Scooters of All Time

A motorized scooter is a stand-up scooter powered by either a small useful internal combustion engine or a small electric hub motor in its front and/or rear wheels. Classified as a form of micro-mobility, they are typically designed with a large center deck on which the rider stands. The first motorized scooter was made in 1915 by Autoped.

More recently, electric kick scooters (e-scooters) have grown in popularity with the introduction of scooter-sharing systems that allow everyone to use apps.

2: Swagtron Swagger 5 Boost.

Swagtron introduces the Swagger 5 Boost as their most affordable model ever. It’s a cheaper counterpart to Swagtron’s flagship, the Swagger 5 Elite, but it still manages to outperform most entry-level scooters in its class.

Offered in two color styles (Black and Silver), this lightweight aluminum constructed electric scooter can tow up to 320 lbs. This is relatively unusual for a scooter in this range. Plus, its price offers several trade-offs, but it’s not too bad to let this e-scooter be fun, compact, and still plenty powerful. This makes it an ideal option for people who want to make quick commutes or run short errands.

3: E-Twow GT SE.

The GT SE is the successor to the popular Uscooters (E-TWOW) GT. While its build is exactly the same, it boasts smartphone app connectivity that will allow you to manage how you ride and safety features. On paper, the E-TWOW GT SE looks to be an ultra-portable scooter, with an impressive amount of range and power for its weight. But how does it perform in the real world and does it justify its price tag? let’s find out!

The E-TWOW GT SE features a 500W brushless DC motor at the front (800W peak power) and a specified top speed of 25 MPH (40.2 KMH). A 500W motor is rarely seen in an ultra-portable commuter scooter so I was very excited to test it.
